Dispatch Procedures

When your burglar alarm is activated, here is how ART responds to your alarm:

  1. Our 24/7 monitoring station immediately dispatches one of our officers.
  2. While the officer is driving to your location, the monitoring center places a phone call to the location.  If someone answers the phone and gives the proper password, then we halt our dispatch.
  3. If no one answers at the location, or if the person who answers cannot provide the correct password, our officer continues to the location to investigate.
  4. If the officer discovers a problem then the officer will call you at the contact numbers in the order you provided.  This will protect you from a possible encounter with an intruder.
  5. If the officer verifies all is clear and safe he will send an email notification to you for your records.  (Please let us know if your email address or contact list changes.)

NOTES

  • If you accidentally trip your alarm, immediately enter your 4 digit code to turn off the alarm. If you cancel the alarm in under 30 seconds, no alarm signal is sent.

If you take longer, our monitoring center will place a courtesy call to your location to confirm everything is okay.  You can also phone the monitoring center at 505-296-4749 to advise of a false alarm or if you have any questions.

  • For your safety, we will not have the monitoring station call you on a cell phone about the alarm signal. This will prevent situations where our clients respond to their own alarm and put their safety at risk!
