Armed Response Service
The Armed Response Team provides an immediate armed response for businesses and homeowners. When your burglar alarm goes off, our monitoring center dispatches one of our highly-trained veteran police officers who immediately responds to your alarm.
Our officer personally inspects the entire perimeter of your home or office. If there has been an intrusion, our officer secures the premises, calls the police, and detains any suspects until the police arrive.
After our officer finishes inspecting your premises, he calls our alarm monitoring station to tell them the area is now secured. Our officer then completes a full incident report.
Our service eliminates the need for you to get up in the middle of the night to check your alarm — and the liability and danger of having your employees or family members respond to your alarm.
6 Things to Demand of Your Armed Response Service
A private armed response service, working in conjunction with an alarm monitoring service, is vital for the adequate protection of your office or home. Below are five critical characteristics to demand from your armed response service. Accepting anything less could put you, your family, or your employees at risk.
- Immediate Response. Your armed response service must respond immediately to your alarm, once they are notified by the alarm monitoring station. They should NEVER wait until they "get a chance" to respond. The officer should personally inspect the entire perimeter and then file a report of his investigation. This guarantees that your property was checked and is secured.
- Veteran Police Officers. The officer who responds to your alarm should, at the very least, be as highly trained and experienced as seasoned local police officers. They should have over 20 years of experience. Only this level of training and experience will allow them to fully control any possible situation, including catching and detaining someone breaking into your home or business.
- Only Responds to Burglar Alarms. Your armed response service should do one job, and one job alone: immediately respond to burglar alarms. Typically, "security guard" companies offer many security services to their customers. They usually prioritize their calls based upon the monetary value of their contracts. This can slow the response time to your alarm, increase your risk of a major property loss, and allow the offenders to get away!
- Alarm Monitoring Included. Your armed response service should include the alarm monitoring service. What good is alarm monitoring if you are not guaranteed an immediate armed response from highly trained professionals who can handle a burglary situation?
- Understands the Judicial Process. Your armed response service must know how to detain a suspect without violating their rights, how to preserve a crime scene, and how to testify in court. Only this level of knowledge and experience will help the District Attorney successfully prosecute burglars.
- Guarantees No False Alarm Fines. The City of Albuquerque currently fines you from $150 to $500 for each false burglar alarm after your first three warnings. Make sure your armed response service guarantees you will not receive any fine for false alarms and, if you do, that they'll pay it.
